Job Summary
- This role oversees vehicles, drivers, and goods in transit, ensuring a seamless supply of vehicles for loading and delivery while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage daily transport operations for distribution activities.
- Ensure timely supply of vehicles for loading and delivery based on dispatch schedules.
- Monitor goods in transit to ensure on-time and intact delivery to distributors and customers.
- Track vehicle movements, fuel usage, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and logistics teams to align transport needs with delivery plans.
- Handle transport-related issues such as delays, breakdowns, accidents, or delivery discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, trip sheets, fuel consumption, and transport costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, traffic laws, and company transport policies.
- Support cost control initiatives by optimizing routes and vehicle utilization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of OND/HND/BSc in logistics, transport management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in transport or logistics operations, preferably in an FMCG or distribution company.
- Good understanding of fleet management and goods distribution processes.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deliveries simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of route planning and cost control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic reporting.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 monthly.
